Heath Streak is keen to pass on the knowledge gained during a successful 67-Test playing career for Zimbabwe
Heath Streak has been appointed bowling coach of Zimbabwe.
The 36-year-old former captain, who played 65 Tests and 189 one-day internationals, will work alongside head coach Walter Chawaguta in his new position.
Zimbabwe Cricket managing director Ozias Bvute said: “We have been talking to Heath for some time and now that the modalities of his relationship with ZC have been concluded, we have every confidence that his presence in the changing rooms can only be good for the development of our national team.”
Streak, who took 216 Test wickets at 28.14 apiece and scored 1,990 runs at an average of 22.35, is regarded by many as Zimbabwe's finest all-rounder.
He also played for Hampshire and Warwickshire in English county cricket.
"It is with great honour that I return to ZC in the role of the national bowling coach and I am looking forward to being part of the vision to rebuild Zimbabwe as a powerful cricket-playing nation," he said.
“I have amassed a wealth of knowledge during my international career and look forward to imparting this knowledge onto Zimbabwe’s up-and-coming talent.”
