Torrential overnight rain left umpires Peter Willey and Trevor Jesty no option but to call off the final day’s play in the LV= County Championship Division Two match between Kent and Yorkshire at Canterbury.

The hosts were due to resume on 350 for nine in reply to Yorkshire’s first innings 247, but a sodden outfield forced the game to be abandoned as a draw.

Kent take 10 points and the White Rose seven.
