Taylor makes first Notts ton
James Taylor hit his maiden century for new county Nottinghamshire on the third and final day of a rain-affected draw with Loughborough MCCU at Trent Bridge.
Having made a duck in the first innings, Taylor - who joined from Leicestershire over the winter - was promoted to open in the second and responded by converting his overnight 61 into 101 not out.
Taylor reaching three figures prompted Notts, 183 for two overnight, to declare on 290 for five. Left-arm seamer Robert Taylor took all three wickets today for figures of 3-82.
Set a notional 671 to win, Loughborough reached 28 for none from 13 overs on a day when only 28 were possible.
