All-rounders set FTI MVP standard

All-rounders continue to dominate the race for FTI MVP honours with Warwickshire’s Neil Carter opening up a 22-point lead at the summit.
Yorkshire’s Adil Rashid and Nottinghamshire’s Samit Patel make up second and third place respectively after consistently producing all-round performances in all forms of the game.
The former has been in and around the top two for much of the season, while Patel’s recent performances with the bat have seen him overtake Alfonso Thomas, who is just two points adrift of third.
Hampshire’s Sean Ervine finishes off the top five, just ahead of Imran Tahir, while Mark Cosgrove, who is second in the Clydesdale Bank 40 FTI MVP, is up to seventh.
In the LV= County Championship FTI MVP standings, it is the bowlers and bowling all-rounders who dominate the top spots with Rashid, Carter, Tahir, David Masters and Glen Chapple all impressing.
It is the opposite in the Clydesdale Bank FTI MVP rankings where the batsmen dominate.
Yorkshire’s Jacques Rudolph leads the pack, just ahead of Cosgrove, while Grant Flower, James Hildreth and Patel are also challenging for honours.
