Martin van Jaarsveld and Kent continue to dominate the higher reaches of the PCA MVP.
The South African batsman remains top of the pile thanks to his tally of 1,455 runs, six wickets and 22 catches in all competitions this season.
He is joined by three Kent players in the top 10. Team-mate Yasir Arafat climbed to second after taking six wickets and scoring 90 not out and an unbeaten 19 in the LV County Championship victory over Yorkshire, while fellow Pakistani all-rounder Azhar Mahmood occupies fourth spot and Ryan McLaren ninth.
Arafat’s rise comes at the expense of Yorkshire all-rounder Tim Bresnan, who slips one place to third, while Samit Patel moves up to fourth thanks to a resolute 134 which helped Nottinghamshire salvage a draw against Surrey.
Essex boast two all-rounders in the upper echelons, with Ryan ten Deschate and Ravi Bopara sixth and eighth respectively.
They sandwich Yorkshire’s evergreen Anthony McGrath, who made 144 against Kent this week, while Northamptonshire captain Nicky Boje fills 10th place.
