Biography
Wicketkeeper-batsman Rouse made history in 2011 when, during the inaugural Test at the Ageas Bowl, he became the youngest substitute fielder to take a catch for England on home soil. Having represented England at Under-19 level, Rouse will now be looking to challenge Michael Bates for a place behind the stumps at the Ageas Bowl. His superior batting may give him a chance to do so - he made 67 in a 10th-wicket partnership of 103 with Kabir Ali against Leeds/Bradford UCCE and averaged 35 in the Second XI Championship in 2011.
