Biography
Patel, the younger brother of England all-rounder Samit, played youth cricket for Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire before returning to Trent Bridge in 2009. A left-handed batsman who plays in a similar fashion to his brother, Patel also bowls left-arm chinamen. He made his LV= County Championship debut for Notts in the final game of the season against Sussex, and scored 92 runs in the last four NatWest Pro40 matches of the campaign to earn a new two-year contract.
