Tudor returns to Surrey for 2009 hoping to recapture the hostility that led to international honours early in his career. The former England fast bowler joined Essex from Surrey at start of 2005 but missed almost the whole season due to surgery on an injured knee. Tudor toured Australia with England in 1998 and 2002, as well as South Africa in 1999 and Pakistan in 2000. He has played 10 Tests in total, taking 28 wickets, but is most famous for scoring 99 not out against New Zealand at Edgbaston in 1999 - the highest score by an England nightwatchman.
