Gray moved from Yorkshire to Derbyshire at the end of the 2004 season, where he formed a useful spin alliance with Ant Botha.
Part of Yorkshire's Championship winning side in 2001, he failed to capitalise on the Tykes success and was released after not being able to cement a place in the first team.
His off spin has claimed 42 first class wickets in the 26 games that he has played since he started his career.
He is also a useful lower middle order batsman, whose hard-hitting has particularly come to the fore in four day cricket in which he has an average of over 28.
2005 saw Gray play eight games for his new club and he has signed a new contract to keep him there for another year.
Played intermittently in 2006 but was released at the end of the season.
