Biography
Botha holds a British passport through his English father, but represented South African Schools in 1995 and made his first class debut for Natal B against Free State B at Durban in 1995/96. He toured with South Africa Under-19 to India in 1995/96. In 2003 he played for Derbyshire Premier League and Premier Cup double winners Clifton, scoring 200 not out against Denby. He signed a two-year contract for Derbyshire, starting in the 2004 season when he averaged 20.13 with the bat in the County Championship.
