Biography

A top-order batter who graduated from captaining England Under-19s to make her full England debut against South Africa in 2000. Brindle developed her game to be recognised as an all-rounder of genuine talent with her ability to swing the ball and to field outstandingly. She put on a women’s Test record stand of 200 with Caroline Atkins against India in January 2002, making 85 in her third Test.
