Born in Southampton, Billy Taylor is a former Hampshire Schools and Hampshire Second XI player but he started his county career at Sussex.
He was part of the Sussex side which won the Frizzell County Championship for the first time in their history in 2003.
But the following season Taylor made the short trip along the south coast to Hampshire.
The tall paceman, who has also played for Wiltshire in the minor counties league, likes to bowl with the new ball and has two hat-tricks to his name in county cricket.
He was a member of the successful 2005 Hampshire squad that lifted the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy and finished second in Frizzell County Championship Division One.
In recent seasons Taylor has been offered a contract only for one-day cricket, and that will be the case again in 2009.
During the winter Taylor spends his time learning his trade in falconry, and he owns a number of birds of prey.
Taylor was released by the county at the end of 2009.
