Biography
A former England Under-16 batsman who began his association with Hampshire at the age of 10, Benham marked his first-class debut for Hampshire with 74 against Derbyshire in the final Frizzell County Championship match of the 2004 season. He was a member of the squad that lifted the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy and finished second in Frizzell County Championship Division One in 2005. In 2006 Benham smashed a ferocious 158 in the NatWest Pro40 play-off against Glamorgan to help earn Hampshire promotion to Division One, and became a regular in the one-day side.
