Biography
A left-handed batsman who bowls occasional off-spin, Redfern emerged from the Derbyshire Academy with glowing reports. He made his second XI debut in 2006 and was called up to the first team two months later, at the age of 16. A maiden first-class half-century arrived the following year, when he played five first-class matches and five NatWest Pro40 games.
