Biography
An elegant left-handed batsman, Redfern made his first-team debut for Derbyshire at the age of 16 and also represented England Under-19s. After several years of steady progress, he enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2012 as Derbyshire gained promotion in the LV= County Championship. Redfern's maiden four-day century came on the opening week of the season, against Northamptonshire, and he finished the campaign with 848 first-class runs at an average of 39, having featured in every game.
