David Hussey, younger brother of Australia star Mike, is one of the cleanest and most powerful hitters in the county game.
He joined Nottinghamshire in 2004, originally as cover for Damien Martyn, and passed 1,000 runs in his first season in county cricket before returning in 2005.
He topped the first-class batting averages for the county with 1,293 runs at just over 68 in 2005, which included an unbeaten double century and two hundreds.
He breached the 1,000 mark again the following season and averaged an astonishing 93 in making 1,219 in 2007.
Hussey agreed to return to Trent Bridge in 2008, although his subsequent decision to sign for the Indian Premier League forced Notts to sign compatriot Adam Voges as a short-term replacement for the early part of the season.
Hussey was back for a successful five-week stint in 2009, which included two hundreds in the LV= County Championship and one in the NatWest Pro40. He agreed to return in 2010.
