Biography
A feisty all-round cricketer, David Willey has impressed everyone with his calmness and intelligence in 2009, his first season in the Northamptonshire first-team. Willey, from Northampton, seems to have inherited much of his father Peter’s grit, if not his side-on stance, at the crease. Willey struck 60 on LV= County Championship debut against Leicestershire to dig Northants out of a hole, and has followed up with several useful knocks in the middle-order.
