Gareth Breese
Now in the twilight of his career, veteran Jamaican all-rounder Breese is predominantly utilised in one-day cricket by Durham.
Although he played one Test for West Indies in 2002, against India, he holds a British passport and is not classed as an overseas player.
A pugnacious middle-order batsman and tidy off-spinner, Breese has enjoyed success in four-day cricket and made a memorable contribution to Durham’s maiden LV= County Championship triumph in 2008. His unbeaten 121 in the final match against Kent set up a 71-run victory.
However, he has chiefly been called upon in the limited-overs forms, making more than 200 appearances for Durham since his debut in 2004.
Breese was an ever-present in the side that won the Friends Provident Trophy in 2007.
