Biography
A graduate of the Yorkshire Academy and a former England Under-19 player, left-arm spinner Keedy crossed the Pennines to join Roses rivals Lancashire in 1995. Among the finest slow bowlers in the country for a large chunk of his career, Keedy harboured realistic ambitions of playing for England until Monty Panesar's emergence. The arrival of Sri Lanka spin legend Muttiah Muralitharan as Lancashire's overseas player inevitably restricted Keedy's appearances, but he underlined his worth to the Lancashire cause with 72 County Championship wickets at 25.68 apiece in 2004.
