Biography
Named as Somerset captain for 2005 after agreeing to be one of their overseas players and led them to Twenty20 Cup glory. Was an obvious choice as skipper following the experience gained with his country. Aged just 22, he became South Africa’s youngest captain in in March 2003 after Shaun Pollock had been removed from from the position following the Proteas’ exit from the World Cup.
