Wagg's future appeared bright when, after appearing for England at Under-19 level, he topped Warwickshire's bowling averages in 2002 - his debut season.
A left-arm swing bowler who has been known to bowl spin on occasions, he also toured with England A before a back injury limited his progress.
Wagg then tested positive for cocaine and was banned for a year, and subsequently released by Warwickshire.
Derbyshire offered him a route back into the county game in 2006 and he went on to impress with bat and ball on a consistent basis.
After an injury-ravaged 2010, Wagg then moved on to Glamorgan, where he continued to show his worth at domestic level.
