Jack Manuel

The left-handed batsman caught the eye by hitting 121 not out to carry the Midlands to a six-wicket win over the North on the opening day of the 2008 ECB Under-17 Regional Festival at the National Cricket Performance Centre in Loughborough.

Manuel followed this up with 107 for England U17s against New Zealand U19s in the tour match at Sleaford and was rewarded for his impressive form with a call-up to the U19 Test squad to face the same opposition. He did not play, but became a regular for the U19s.

In the summer of 2009 he signed a two-year contract with Worcestershire, making his Twenty20 and List A debuts the next year and his first-class bow in 2011.
