Biography
Benning is a top-order batsman, an athletic fielder and also a useful medium-pace bowler. He played for England at Under-15 to Under-19 level and Surrey until 2009, when he joined Leicestershire. He played four first-class games for Surrey in 2005, making a top-score of 124, but was more widely used in the one-day format as he played every match in the Totesport league and scored 553 runs and took nine wickets.
