James Bruce
Bruce is a medium fast bowler who worked his way up to the Hampshire first team via the county's second XI and Durham UCCE.
He played minor counties cricket for Cumberland before signing to play for Hampshire in 2003.
His opportunities have so far been limited for the south coast club, but he will be hoping to get a regular run in the side after playing in four first class matches in 2005.
He was a member of the successful Hampshire squad that lifted the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy and finished second in the County Championship Division One.
He continued to develop in 2006 and claimed 38 first-class wickets and was top wicket-taker in the NatWest Pro40 competition with 11.
He was awarded his county cap at the end of 2006, but announced his decision to retire from cricket to take up a job in the City before the start of the 2008 season.
