Biography
The powerful Australian-born all-rounder, who is not considered an overseas player, played a crucial role in Leicestershire’s Twenty20 final win over Nottinghamshire Outlaws in 2006. Allenby made his County Championship debut against Essex in the last match of the 2006 season when he hit a first-innings hundred before guiding Leicestershire to victory with an unbeaten fifty. He had a steady season in 2007, the highlight of which was taking 5-43 in the NatWest Pro40 win over Derbyshire.
