Biography
Blain was the youngest player to represent Scotland in the full national side, when he made his debut at the age of 17. He played for Scotland in the 1999 World Cup, taking 10 wickets and finished the tournament top of the bowling strike rates. The Scotsman joined Yorkshire in 2004 after being released by Northamptonshire at the end of the previous season, during which he also played two National League matches for the Scottish Saltires.
