Jonathan Clare

A genuine all-rounder, Clare is a powerful seam bowler who has also demonstrated plenty of ability with the bat.

After coming through Lancashire's youth system, he made his first-class debut for Derbyshire in 2007 and claimed a five-wicket haul against Nottinghamshire.

A maiden LV= County Championship century followed the following summer, but it was in 2011 that Clare really kicked on, with 688 runs and 43 wickets in four-day cricket.

The Burnley-born paceman claimed a further 30 scalps as Derbyshire ended 2012 as Division Two champions, yet found runs harder to come by.
