Biography
Goddard is a wicketkeeper-batsman who has had limited opportunities at Durham due to Phil Mustard’s claims to the gloves. He made his first-class debut in 2003, beginning his career with Derbyshire, but has found more four-day action hard to come by at the Riverside. He made his Twenty20 Cup debut against Leicestershire in 2007. His only competitive first-team action in 2008 was against Hampshire in the NatWest Pro40. Just one first-team opportunity followed in 2009, at Surrey in the Friends Provident Trophy, and he returned to Derbyshire on a one-year deal at the end of the season.
