Biography
Dawson came on to the scene as a left-arm spinner, but, in recent years, has become more prominent with the bat. Having started in the lower order, Dawson - once a captain of England Under-19s - has remarkably risen all the way to opener and, in 2011, made 908 championship runs at a respectable 36. In contrast, Dawson took just three wickets, yet he could still develop into a genuine all-rounder.
