Biography
Mark Footitt has been earmarked for great things for some time as he has the natural ability to generate serious pace, but injuries have scuppered his progress. The ECB funded several coaching trips for Footitt as a 16-year-old to further nurture his talent. Footitt benefited enormously from having fellow left-arm seamer Chris Tolley as his Academy coach and mentor, while being able to call on Nottinghamshire team-mates Greg Smith and Ryan Sidebottom for more advice.
