Biography
Pettini, a former England Under-19 international, is a talented opening batsman thanks in part to his elegant stroke-making. After his Essex debut in the final County Championship game of the 2001 season, Pettiniās appearances were limited largely to the limited-overs arena until 2006, a summer which saw him register his maiden first-class hundred - against Somerset at Taunton in May.
