Biography
The opening batsman was one of Yorkshire's most prolific run-scorers in recent years and captained the side in the absence of Anthony McGrath and Craig White, before moving to Glamorgan for the start of the 2008 season. An important member of Yorkshire's Championship-winning squad in 2001, Wood was selected for the inaugural ECB Academy intake later that year. A graduate of the Yorkshire Academy, Wood played for England Under-17 in 1994, making his county debut in 1997.
