Biography

The Jamaica-born fast bowler made his first-class debut for Essex against Durham in 2005, but failed to force his way into the first team the following season. Though he was selected for the England Under-19 tour to Malaysia in early 2007, a stress fracture of the back prevented him from playing any first-team cricket for Essex that summer. He qualified for British citizenship midway through the 2007 season and his potential was rewarded when he signed a one-year contract extension keeping him at Chelmsford until the end of the 2009 campaign.
