Kasprowicz is a talented pace bowler who only played a handful of international matches for Australia in the 1990s before being recalled to the side in 2003.
In the summer of 1997 Kasprowicz took 7-36 against England in the final match of the Ashes series at The Oval but he came of age as a bowler on the 1998 tour of India when he found himself leading the attack after several of his colleagues were injured.
He was surprisingly dropped soon afterwards but as a product of the Australian Cricket Academy, Kasprowicz's fast-medium pace bowling has been a consistent threat to Australian and English domestic sides for several years.
His economy rate is particularly impressive and he can bowl long spells for very few runs. He has played for three English county sides (Essex, Leicestershire and Glamorgan) since 1994 and was named as Glamorgan's Player of the Year in 2003.
Was due to play for Glamorgan in 2005 until he was included in Australia's Ashes squad but signed a contract to return to the Welsh county for the 2006 season.
