An aggressive left-handed batsman in all forms of the game, Lumb’s finest moment came when he was part of England’s victorious 2010 World Twenty20 team.
Initially a surprise selection, the opener frequently got his side off to a flying start in a hugely impressive tournament.
He has since picked up frequent injuries, though, meaning appearances for England have been limited.
Since starting his career for Yorkshire, Lumb has been a steady run-scorer in the county game.
His greatest success has come in the shorter forms - which has led to him being signed for domestic Twenty20 tournaments around the world.
Lumb joined Nottinghamshire from Hampshire ahead of the 2012 season during which he won a ninth T20 international cap.
