Mohammad Akram
Mohammad Akram had already played for three counties in England - Northamptonshire, Essex and Sussex - before moving to Surrey for the 2005 season.
The Pakistan international played nine Tests and 23 one-day internationals for his country between 1995 and 2001 but now qualifies for England due to residency.
The fast-medium bowler hits the pitch hard and relies on bounce and seam movement to get his wickets. Unlucky not to have played more regularly for Pakistan, Akram was Surrey's leading wicket taker in 2005 with 43 first class scalps.
However, he was kept out of the first team squad by a mixture of youngsters and injuries for much of 2007 and was not retained at the end of the season.
