Biography
As a medium-fast bowler, Malik relies heavily upon his height and the ability to move the ball away from the batsman. He toured India with England Under-19s in 2000/01 after being called up as a late replacement and was also a member of the Under-19 squad that went to the World Cup in New Zealand in 2002. Malik’s first wicket in first-class cricket was that of future New Road team-mate Graeme Hick in 2001, the season he made his debut with Nottinghamshire.
