Biography
Nadeem Shahid moved to Surrey from Essex in 1995 but his Essex influences are still very obvious in his batting. Nasser Hussain-like in his shot making, Shahid has had limited opportunities in a Surrey line-up packed with batting talent. He has made his mark for the club as the Second XI captain, however, where he forged a useful opening partnership with Scott Newman and he has not let anyone down when selected for the first team. Retired at the end of 2004 to take up a position in the Corporate side of the club.
