Biography

After a decade of struggling to establish himself in South Africa's batting line-up, McKenzie's finest moment in international cricket came in 2008 when he shared in a Test-record opening stand of 415 with Graeme Smith against Bangladesh. Despite his 226 runs at Chittagong - the score was past 500 when Shahadat Hossain finally dismissed him - the right-hander's Test career ended 12 months later.
