Nick Thornicroft

An England Under-19 player in 2002 and 2003, Thornicroft has also been known to strike the ball to great effect low down the order.

He was the youngest Roses debutant, in 2002, when he played for Yorkshire against Lancashire at the age of 17.

Produced career-best figures of 5-42 in the final National League game of the 2003 season against Gloucestershire but by the end of the 2004 season he had yet to break into the Championship side.

He played one game on loan for Essex in 2005, but found first-team opportunities increasingly limited at Yorkshire and was released at the end of the 2007 season.
