Biography
Precociously talented as a youngster and the captain of England Under-19s' World Cup-winning side in 1998, Shah hit 62 against Pakistan at Lord's on his senior England one-day international debut in 2001. He has been in and out of England’s one-day side since but featured in the ICC Knock-out Trophy and in the VB Series in 2003. Shah enjoyed a good season with Middlesex in 2004 after the responsibility of captaincy was taken from him and he was subsequently selected for the National Academy for the 2004-05 winter.
