Wiseman was chosen as a second spinner to Daniel Vettori on New Zealand's tour to Sri Lanka in 1998, but struggled for opportunities.
Has been in and out of the Test side fairly regularly but was dropped after a string of poor performances against Australia and Sri Lanka in 2005 and has not played again.
Was signed by Durham for the 2007 season, after playing for their A team in 2006.
He took 31 wickets in 12 matches in the LV County Championship, following it up with nine more in the NatWest Pro40, and proved himself to be a shrewd signing.
Wiseman was a regular member of the Durham side that won Division One of the LV County Championship in 2008.
However in 2009, due to the emergence of Scott Borthwick, Ian Blackwell and Gareth Breese, Wiseman failed at all to feature and returned home to New Zealand to take up a coaching position with Canterbury.
