Philip Sampson

Sampson is one of a growing breed of seam bowlers emerging through the ranks at Surrey and swing is his main weapon.

Surrey have used him more in limited-overs cricket and he played in most of Surrey's 2004 totesport League campaign.

He gained his first five-wicket haul in a championship match against Warwickshire at Guildford in 2004.

However, he was absent for much of the 2005 season which saw Surrey relegated in the County Championship.
