Biography

A stylish top-order batsman, South African Rudolph has shown his class in both Tests and the English domestic game. During his first taste of Test cricket he shared an unbroken stand of 429 with Boeta Dippenaar for the third wicket in Chittagong in November 2001, eventually ending with an unbeaten 222. Rudolph batted for over seven hours on the final day of the 2005 Perth Test with Australia - for an unbeaten 102 - which ensured a draw.
