Biography

A Test veteran who won his first cap in 2006, the right-arm quick has claimed over 200 wickets for South Africa. He established himself as a regular in 2008, taking new-ball duties from the great Makhaya Ntini and has remained in the team ever since while also making an impact at one-day international level. Standing at 6ft 5in, Morkel is able to get both pace and bounce and comes from good cricketing stock with father Albert having played first-class cricket and brother Albie earning international recognition.
