Myburgh is another player who opted to leave South Africa in order to play cricket elsewhere.  The batsman, also a useful spinner, looked set for big things when he broke Graeme Pollock’s record for the youngest ever double-century maker in South African first-class cricket at the age of 17. However, after a move to New Zealand, Myburgh made his way to England but struggled in spells at Hampshire and Durham. He hit over 500 runs for Somerset after moving to Taunton in 2014.
