An economical off-spinner, Lyon went from a member of the Adelaide Oval groundstaff to Australia's most prolific Test off-spinner in the space of five years. He passed Hugh Trumble's century-old record of 141 wickets during the tour of West Indies, which his country won 2-0, in 2015.
