Richard Logan
A tall and athletic represented Staffordshire and Midlands at junior level.
However, cricket was always his first love and he played for England at Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 level.
Once hailed as one of the brightest prospects in the English game, he rejected an offer from Northamptonshire to join Nottinghamshire in 2000.
He suffered a shoulder injury in 2001, sidelining him for six weeks, but made an instant impact upon his return with 5-24 against Suffolk in the third round of the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy followed by 6-93 against Derbyshire.
He remained at Notts for four years but found first-team places hard to come by and announced his switch to Hampshire in October 2004.
In 2005 he played a key role in helping Hampshire finish runners-up in Frizzell County Championship Division One behind Notts.
However, he was released at the end of 2006 and signed a one-year contract at Northamptonshire.
He played seven first-class matches in 2007, taking 15 wickets, as well as claiming nine wickets in the NatWest Pro40.
However, he failed to make an impact on the first team the following season, and was released from his contract in September.
