One of New Zealand’s best attacking batsmen, Taylor hit the headlines early on in his career by scoring a wonderful 128 not out against Sri Lanka in only his third one-day international in December 2006. He followed a similar pattern in Tests, making his bow in November 2007 and backing up his selection with a score of 120 against England at Hamilton in his third match.
