Biography
Whiteley spent his formative years playing his club cricket at Chesterfield, where his performances brought him to the attention of Derbyshire. A left-arm seamer and middle-order batsman, his involvement with the county was limited to second XI cricket in 2006 and 2007. He had to wait until the end of the 2008 campaign to make his senior debut, hitting a run-a-ball 24 in the NatWest Pro40 defeat by Glamorgan at the SWALEC Stadium.
