Sam Spurway

Spurway came into the Somerset side late in 2006 and soon made an impression with 83 against Northants when he took over from Carl Gazzard.

He has played regularly in the Somerset second XI since 2003 and made his first team debut in late 2005 in a Twenty20 when he deputised for the injured Gazzard.

The form of Craig Kieswetter, with Gazzard as his deputy, saw Spurway fail to make an appearance in 2008.
